Grades 6-7 is an optimal time for them to explore their creative interests and cultivate their initial talent. Green Apple Art Center offers a variety of classes for all levels that help students not only develop their technical skills, but also discover new creative fields.

Spring Term Starts on the Week of April 1, 2025
Learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting techniques and explore a variety of 2D mediums and tools. You will be introduced to basic painting and drawing techniques and mediums, including coloured pencils, watercolour, acrylic, markers and more. Develop the skills necessary to explore imaginary and observational projects. This class is a perfect intro class for those students interested in advanced painting, illustration and animation.
Please note that there is an additional $10 material fee for this course already add in the course fee.

Spring Term Starts on the Week of April 1, 2025
Learn what sets the world of illustration apart from drawing and painting. You will be introduced to how ideas and communication are at the core of illustration. Develop skills while making a wide variety of projects such as a children’s book illustration, pattern design, and more. Bring your imagination to create concepts from sketches to completed projects.

Visual Arts High School Programs, such as Load Byng Mini-School or Langley Fine Art, enable students to acquire skills and knowledge for university visual art programs. And GAAC Portfolio Prep programs for Grades 6-7 help you to enter the visual arts specialty programs.
Daily Morning: 9:30AM-12:30PM
Week 1: Mar 17-21 / Week 2: Mar 24-28
This program runs daily from Monday to Friday, with each class dedicated to different skills and art mediums. Other than having fun students will focus primarily on technique learning and creative thinking.

Students are required to bring their own pencil set, eraser, and a mixed media sketchbook (11×14in).
