New York Fashion Week 2024 S/S Designer
As a 18 year-old student from York House, her exploration into fashion design was primarily ignited by her curiosity about the process of creating one's own brand. As she delved deeper into this world, she was privileged to create her own design and present it to the community. A significant source of inspiration for her was the brand "Fairy Tong". This brand, helmed by a young fashion designer (Yingtong Chung), specializes in crafting fairytale-like dresses, enabling wearers to experience feelings of magic, uniqueness, and beauty. While her work greatly influenced Lucy, the aspect of fashion design that captivated Lucy the most was the creative brainstorming phase. During this stage, Lucy relished the opportunity to communicate with educators about the vision for her brand and the selection of various elements for the garments, and had a lot of fun and learnt many things throughout the process, including patience, communication, research, collaboration, and time management skills.
