Since its establishment in 1923, The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards has been giving awards to the best and brightest, such as Andy Warhol, Truman Capote, Stephen King, and Lena Dunham. Being one of the largest creative competition in the United States with over 300,000 artworks submitted annually, our students are the proud participants and medalists of the competition. We have been awarded 16 Gold & 15 Silver Medals, 111 Gold & 174 Silver Keys, 219 Honorable Mentions and the highest award for the overall winning entry, the George Kline Meal - now, we want you to be our next champion!

Since its establishment in 1923, award recipients have included Andy Warhol, Truman Capote, Stephen King, and Lena Dunham. This class supports students in developing and submitting their work for the competition.


WHY PARTICIPATE?

Nearly $250,000 in scholarships are distributed annually to winning students. In addition to a scholarship, winners of national awards receive recognition at the annual Awards Ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York City, and the honour of exhibiting their work across the United States in the ART.WRITE.NOW Tour.
